Add an Excel Worksheet - Aspose.Cells Cloud API Guide

This REST API adds a new worksheet to an existing workbook.

Prerequisites: To call this endpoint you must have a valid Aspose Cloud authentication token, the target workbook must be uploaded to Aspose Cloud storage, and you should know the storage name (if using a custom storage).

Request parameters

Parameter Name Type Location Description
name string path Name of the workbook file.
sheetName string path Name of the new worksheet to be created.
position integer query Zero‑based position where the sheet is inserted.
sheettype string query Type of the new sheet (e.g., Chart, Dialog).
folder string query Folder that contains the workbook.
storageName string query Name of the Aspose Cloud storage.

Possible response status codes

Status Code Description
200 Worksheet added successfully.
400 Bad request – invalid parameters.
401 Unauthorized – authentication token missing/invalid.
404 Not found – workbook or folder does not exist.
500 Internal server error – unexpected condition.
