Public API changes

Merge presentations without uploading to storage

A new merge POST & PUT methods allow to merge presentations from a multipart request body. You can optionally provide a JSON to specify merge details (like slides to merge). You can also merge presentations provided in request body with ones that exist on the storage.

Split presentation from request body

A new split POST & PUT methods method allow to split (slide by slide) a presentation in request body, without uploading it to the storage. You can either save the result to the storage or download it as a ZIP archive.

Example 1 - Split a presentation to PDF files

Download slides and shapes from a presentation in request body

New POST & PUT methods method allow to download slides, shapes and images from a presentation in request body, without uploading it to the storage. You can either download or save the result to the storage.

Example 1 - Convert the second slide of a presentation to SVG

Replace text in a presentation from request body

New replaceText POST method works just the same as the existing one, but does not require uploading the presentation to the storage. It takes the file from request body and returns the modidied version in the response.

Example 1 - Replace all occurences of ‘old’ to ‘new’

Download presentation images

New download POST methods allow to get all images of a presentation as a ZIP archive in one request. The feature can be used both with storage files and files provided in request body.

Shape alignment

New align POST method allows to align shapes in a slide.

Example 1 - Align all shapes in a slide to the top-most shape

Simplified method declarations

SDK methods no longer use Request parameters. Also, many method names are changed. The old method declarations are deprecated and will be removed in 21.6 release.

Deprecated Methods

PUT fromHtml method is deprecated and will be deleted in 21.4 release. Use POST fromHtml method for both creating presentations and adding slides to it.

slideSize resource is deprecated and will be deleted in 21.4 release. Use slideProperties resource instead.
